A collaborative story, one sentence at a time

The game starts with the first words of a story. Each player in turn adds a sentence, without knowing where the others want to go. A few minutes later you have a story nobody planned.

It is the calmest of the four games, and the best one when you want to laugh and let people shine with words.

How it works

  1. The admin starts the game. A first sentence is chosen at random in your language.
  2. Each player has 3 minutes when it is their turn, to write one sentence in the game field.
  3. The story is shown to everybody and grows after each turn.
  4. The game ends after 6 to 10 sentences, depending on the number of players, and the full story is displayed.

Make it fun

  • Surprise the next player with a twist, but leave them something to build on.
  • Keep each sentence short. One idea is enough.
  • Keep chatting while you wait for your turn: the chat is free and separate from the story.

Good to know

If a player does not write in time, the turn passes to the next one. The admin can pause the timers to give everyone more time, and can stop the game whenever they want.

How many people can play?

From 2 to 5.

What if I run out of ideas?

You have 3 minutes. If you need more, ask the admin to pause the game.

Is the story saved?

The final story is shown to the room at the end, and is not kept afterwards.

Are the sentences moderated?

Yes. The same filter as in the chat applies to every sentence.
